Sparring Class
Sparring classes are perfect for experienced and novice students who wish to improve their skills for the purpose of competition or grading. Sparring Classes usually consist of a short warm up and observed sparring rounds against multiple partners.
WHAT IS SPARRING?
Sparring is a very important part of martial arts training, It allows you to practice the moves and techniques learned in class in a safe and controlled environment. Working in pairs, you are able to practice one on one combat / fighting, but at a lower intensity than in competitions.
A sparring class is the perfect way to improve your skills and work on reflexes / timing. It is also very effective in improving your fitness in readiness for competitive sparring (competitions).
Techniques should be performed in a more controlled way than would be expected in competition. You will also be supervised while sparring by your coach, who can give you pointers and help you to improve.
Students should be paired with suitable sparring partners at all times, firstly to ensure safety and secondly to allow for the most possible learning & development.
