Zoe Irwin Kickboxing Bursary

The Zoe Irwin Kickboxing Bursary exists to remove financial barriers and fuel the potential of young people through kickboxing - supporting discipline, confidence, and future champions in sport and in life.

We believe talent is universal, but opportunity is not.

The Zoe Irwin Kickboxing Bursary is built on the belief that kickboxing develops far more than physical skill — it builds discipline, resilience, respect, and self-belief.

Our ethos is simple:
• Support effort over ego
• Character over trophies
• Consistency over shortcuts

We back young people who show commitment, humility, and a willingness to grow — inside and outside the gym.

Our values:

Discipline – Showing up, putting the work in, and respecting the process
Respect – For coaches, opponents, teammates, and self
Resilience – Learning through challenge, not avoiding it
Opportunity – Access should never be limited by finances
Community – We grow stronger together

How the Zoe Irwin Kickboxing Bursary Works

Ongoing Fundraising Efforts

Throughout the year, we run a variety of fundraising initiatives—from T-shirt sales to community events—to support the bursary fund.

Establishing the Bursary Committee

A dedicated committee is formed to oversee the application process and select the bursary recipients.

Annual Recipient Selection

Each year, the committee carefully reviews applications and awards the bursary to selected individuals or groups who show dedication and need.

Utilization of Funds

The awarded funds can be used to cover competition fees, purchase necessary equipment, or assist with travel expenses, all aimed at supporting the recipients’ kickboxing journeys.

How You Can Help

The Zoe Irwin Kickboxing Bursary is powered by the support of our community. There are several simple ways you can help us make a real difference to a young kickboxer’s journey:

Buy a Bursary T-Shirt

Every T-shirt purchased directly contributes to the bursary fund and helps raise awareness of the cause.

Make a Donation

One-off or ongoing donations of any size are hugely appreciated and go straight towards supporting future bursary recipients.

Attend or Support Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, we host events to raise funds and bring the community together. Your participation makes a big impact.

Share the Bursary

Spreading the word by sharing this page on social media or with friends and family helps us reach more supporters.

Together, these small actions create life-changing opportunities for kickboxers who need support to continue training, competing, and growing in the sport.
